Hi friends, ready for the weekend? I know I am...I've got a road trip planned with my closest girlfriends, the Peacocks. Yes, we have a name...why, you ask? Why not? It's fun. I've known most of these women for more than 25 years. They are beautiful, strong, independent, courageous , vulnerable, creative, intelligent, and witty...why wouldn't I surround myself with a group like this? I love each of them as if they were my own family; in many ways they are my family. They're my sisters I never had and always longed for. We've gone through life constantly at each other's side (even if from miles and miles away), sometimes cheering each other on, other times propping each other up. I am extremely blessed to have grown up with such an amazing group of girls...women. It sounds weird calling ourselves "women" because I'm pretty sure we all still act like we're 16 when we're together. After coming home from a girls' weekend I'm always refreshed, re-energized, and my sides hurt from laughing so much! I know that every six months or so, I NEED this time. I've made a little something for each of the girls this weekend. Here's a sneak peak...
