Hi friends! When
October began I was a little preoccupied to even
notice. Honestly.
I even forgot my daughter at school one day. I know...right? (her favorite expression) Now, here we are as
Autumn unfolds and brings with it cool crisp days and mountain ranges ablaze
with vibrant colors. Let me be the first
to tell you, Autumn is not my favorite season.
I’m a Summer Girl at heart & feel most
at peace by the sea shore with my toes in the sand. So, what’s a summertime gal supposed to do
come October?

This one decided to curate
a slideshow on Kirtsy. What’s that, you
ask? Kirtsy is an uber-cool little website started by DesignMom Gabrielle Blair and her friends Laura Mayes and Laurie Smithwick. They had the brilliant idea of creating a
place where collections of art, design, photos, projects…you name it…are put together
as slideshows each day “by some of the most interesting people online.” Their words…not mine. And guess what? Today I’m one of those interesting people! I’ve
put together my own lovely little collection of what I consider to be the
epitome of October: pumpkins! Gourds and
squash, too. You can check it out here. While you’re there, catch some of the other
themes…September 26th is one of my
favorites. I had the best time gathering
images for this and it oh-so-helped to…finally…get me in the mood for
Fall. (ahem…maybethey’llaskmetodoitagainsoon…ahem…) Enjoy! xoxo -s
